Those Tools We Love to Use pt.1
Aug 16th, 2009 by paganparentsote
The subject of tools was brought to us by one of our listeners and we got so involved with it that it became a two part episode. In this episode Arrowind and Foxfire talk about some of their favorite tools. We discuss what they mean to us and some of the ideas on how we use them. We touch on cauldrons, swords and daggers, wands, staffs and a few other things. We really enjoyed talking about this especially after a longer string of deep episodes. Part 2 should be dropping in the next couple of days. It all depends on the editting time. We’re using a new microphone and it’s thrown off all my limited editting knowledge. I’m hoping that the new mic will make the episodes sound better than they were before. Drop us a line and let us know.
Take care and we’ll see part2 soon!
Blessed Be

Merry Meet Arrowind & Foxfire and Brightest Blessings to Thunderwolf & Featherwind. I would just like to say howmuch I have enjoyed this episode, With money being tight at the minute you have given me some great ideas (especially the house cleansing with mirror). I felt so connected when Arrowind said about her using a letter opener as an athem, I have down exactly the same thing and there is a small story I would like to share with you regarding how this tool came to me. About 5 years ago, money was tight as I had been made redundant, but to try and cheer me up my mum had taken me to a craft fair, whilst there we came across a tombola for a local childrens hospice and my mum persuaded me to have a go, I had just enough change in my pocket for 1 ticket but thought that I had nothing to loose and the few coins I had would go towards helping someone, all the prizes had been donated, there were books, chocolates and bottles of wine and all alone at one end of the table was this gilted letter opener (everything around it had been one), anyway I drew my ticket and was congratulated in winning this letter opener, I thought it was pretty with a celtic knot design but thought nothing more of it till I placed my copy of hedge witch next to it, the idea came to me that I had won my Athem with the last few coins I had, it isn’t sharp or fancy and I couldn’t tell you what it is made of but it works for me and I still use it now. It just feels so right for me and that is all that matters. Well, thank you for reading my comment and thank you for podcasting, I am nearly caught up with you now (it has taken me weeks to listen to all your casts from the start but I have really enjoyed them all) and looking forward to hearing what you will all get up to next. Blessed Be Tilly PS - You may have already covered this and I have listened to so many but can you go over where you got your names, I love hearing how people come across their names as the stories are all so beautiful.
